So, I've just joined mychochmat.org. I'm excited to get re-connected with the CHL community. I'm back after a 5 year hiatus, and one of the main reasons for moving back to the bay area was CHL. I've always found everyone to be kind and non-judgemental. I'll never forget my first smile... :-)

Things are certainly different from what they were 5 years ago. It feels as if there is less community participation than there used to be. I miss the Monday night meditations when 30 or more people would show up, we'd meditate together, listen to one of Avram's Torah Schmooze's and then socialize over tea afterwards. It was the socializing afterwards that was so great. It provided a safe and unassuming place to meet people, connect and share experiences of the meditation.

I think Brian is doing a great job too, I just wish more people would show up and there were more chances for socializing afterward.

I look forward to the Kabbalat Shabbat as a way to connect a little more as well...

I'm sure I will see some of you and get to know some of you at various classes / events at CHL.
